Joint Protest for Rohingya Refugee Boatpeople Strand in Asia

The members of Australian Burmese Rohingya Organization (ABRO), joined the rally with Refugee Action Collective Victoria (RAC-V) in support of Rohingya refugee boat-people who are stranded more than a week near Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesian waters.

The rally began from 5.30pm of 22nd June 2015 at Bourke Street Mall CBD and ended at 7.30pm after marching to Liberal Party Head-quarter Office.



Speakers from members of (RAC-V), Academics, Australian Greens Party, Pamelar Curr from Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, refugee activist Mohammed from Afgan Community and Habib from ABRO,  were given wonderful speeches;
"Rohingyans and Kaman are victims of ongoing genocide in western Burma/Myanmar.. There are currently about 165,000 of 200,000 displaced Rohingya and Kaman victims concentrated into 42 ghetto camps across Arakan/Rakhine state and the rest about a million are in systematic confinement.."
